Red Looks Good On Food

According to nutrition experts, among the colors of the rainbow, regarding fruits and vegetables, red is one of the best to choose.
Beyond the obvious, such as strawberries, cherries, red delicious apples, and red grapes, there’s also red cabbage, beets and, of course, tomatoes.
Red Cabbage
Although it’s called redcabbage, this cabbage is near purple in color, and contains 36 plant chemicals that experts say guard against cancer, boost brain function and promote heart health.
Beets
Whether you eat them pickled, juiced or some other way, beets contain a chemical that your body may convert into a compound capable of expanding blood vessels and lowering blood pressure.
Tomatoes
Whether you prefer beefsteak, cherry, Juliet or Early Girl, tomatoes contain lycopene and beta-carotene, both of which help lower your cholesterol.
