How to Make $10 Feed Four

Sure, $10 can buy a lot of starch, which will fill up a family of four, but when it comes to healthy, interesting fare, look no further than Bravo’s “Top Chef: Chicago” for a few fun alternative to the standard meat and potatoes.
Last week on “Top Chef”, the challenge was to use $10 to create a healthy meal for a family of four, and the Chefs did not disappoint.
Here’s a rundown of the recipes:
Chicken Paillard w/Basil & Parmesean w/a Fennel, Orange & Apple Salad
Stir Fry Whole Wheat Noodles w/Bok Choy, Chicken, Edamame & Cilantro (pictured above)
Turkey Bratwurst, Dijon, Apple, Potates, and Sweet & Sour Braised Cabbage
Quinoi Crusted Chicken w/Beans & Edamame
Roasted Chicken w/Apples & Mixed Vegetables, Cucumber & Tomato Salad
Roasted Chicken w/Beets, Avocado, Apple & Cilantro
Pasta w/Puttanesca Sauce
Braised Chicken & Veggie Couscous w/Chive Yogurt
Isn’t it nice to know good food doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive?
